The Trustees of the Holbourn Estate having entered into
an Agreement to let Two Houses part of the said Estate to Mr.
Gunbee on a repairing Lease & he having stept upon Ancient
Passage be twixt his House & the late Mr. Cannons called
Whites Passage by fashing up the Outer Door thereof The
Trustees upon Complaint made to them by other Tenants
of the said Estate Ordered the same to be broke open; And the
said Mr. Gunbee threatening to bring his Action thereupon
And the Trustees being desirous to take the sence of as
Vestry and to be indemnifyed in Case any Action shod. be
brought against them; The Vestry on taking the matter in to Consideration
And thereupon It was resolved and Agreed to Indemnify the
said Trustees against any Action or Actions that shall or
may be brought agt. them in depending the same.
A Motion made by Mr. Wright & seconded by sevl. Gentleman
[..] whether the sevl. Children under Six Years
of Age shod. or shod not be sent to the Foundling Hospital or a
many as the Governors shod agree to take and all those above
the Age of Six Years to be sent to the Silk Mills at Watford
or elsewhere as great savings might be made to the Parish and
on the Question being Put the same was Carried in the Affirmative
Nem Con
Resolved and Agreed that the Steps facing the South West
Door going into the Church be forthwith repaired & the Expences
paid by the Churchwarden & allowed in his Account
