A Vestry met in order to consider of a Mode to return than
to his Grace the Duke of Northumberland for his Bounty on the
Death of his late noble Dutchess when the following Letter or
Messuage was Unanimously agreed to and that Robt- Butler< no role >
Esqr - Wm- Kitchiner< no role > Esqr - The Revd- Mr- Burrows the Revd. Mr-
Iliff & the 2 Churchwdns- were requested to deliver the same
to his Graces Secretary which they agreed to do

The Ministers Churchwdns- Overseers & Gentn- of the
Vestrys of the Parishes of St- Clement Danes and St- Mary-
le Strand in the name and behalf of the numerous Poor who
last Wednesday were Partakers of her Grace the late Dutchess
of Northumberland Bounty of 60 gs- beg leave to waite upon
the Duke of Northumberland to express their gratefull
acknowledgements to him for so kind and reasonable a Relief
and to Assure his Grace that they have endeavoured to
Distribute it to the most needy and deserving Objects in each
Parish-And furr- they cannot omit this Opportunity of
acquainting his Grace now sincerely they Condole with him
on the Greatless which his Grace & the Public must
unavoidably sustain by the death of his truly noble amiable
and benevolent Dutchess.
