The Committee examined Henry Howell< no role > their Collector
on Oath to and setled the Account of the Rate for Repairing
Cleansing and Lighting from Lady day 1797 to Lady
day 1798 upon which there appears to be due to him to
Ballance the said Account £52-10s-1d and
thereupon it was moved seconded and upon the
Question put unanimously Resolved that the said
Mr. Howell be allowed Twelve Guineas for his
Great Extra trouble in the said Collection for
which this Committee drew a Draft on the Bankers

A Bill from Benjamin Marshall< no role > the Stationer for
£3- [..] s-9d for Goods supplied this Committee from January
1798 to this time another from J Cadogan Carpenter
for work done for this Committee from December 1797 to ye
3d December last amounting to £8-16s-9d and another
from James Brownley< no role > the Smith to Christmas last
amounting to £2:11s:6d for work done being severally
Read and the Inspector examined thereto the Committee
signed Drafts on the Bankers for the amount of such
respective Bills

Great Complaint being mede of the neglect of
Performance of the Contracts as well by Thos. Coleman< no role >
the Scavenger as by Willm. Wrathall< no role > the Lamp Contractor
and they being severally Summoned to attend this Board
relative thereto but neglecting so to do the Committee
Proceeded in the enquiry relative to such neglect
by the Lamp Contractor when Mr. Richd. W. Jennings< no role >
one of the Commissioners under the Paving attended this
Committee and made Proof to them that on Wednesday
Evening last about twelve a great Number of Lamps
Were totally extinguished sunlighted within the said
Parish and Mr. John Murray< no role > of Clements Inn
