At a meeting of the Committee
Elected and appointed pursuant to
the Act of Parliament for better
Paving Cleansing and Lighting this
Parish Etc held in the Vestry Room
the 12th day of April 1798 .

The Minutes of the last meeting Read
and confirmed

Read the returns of the Inspector of Paving
and Lamps.

The Committee being Summoned to consider
whether the Rate made at One Shilling in the Pound
on the April last should for the last half Year
ending at Lady Day last be Collected at less than
such Rate having examined the Bankers Account
as also the Collector as to the Arrears to be received
and taken into Consideration the State of the Paving
Account the Committee are of Opinion that the said
Rate should be Collected at Ten Pence in the Pound for the
last half Year due Lady day last

In Pursuance of the Statute this Committee met
made and signed a Rate or Assessment at Ten
Pence in the Pound throughout the whole Parish
