Streets Paved under the Optional Clause) from Midsummer to Michaelmas
last amounting to £36..5s..0d-also for 18s. for Work done in Clements Lane
being read Ordered that the same be transmitted to the Commissioners for
Payment out of Monies received for Repairing Cleansing and Lighting for
that purpose this Committee Signed the same.
This Committee Signed a Certificate of half a Year's Salary due to
their several Officers at Michaelmas last amounting to £42..10s..8d agreeable
to the Committees Resolution of the 18th. day of March last.
Messrs: Vaughan Jones and Roberts now Reporting they had viewed
the Pavement in White Horse Yard
and that their opinion is the said Yard
with little alteration will be proper it is therefore Ordered that the Grates
remain at the side and be not removed into the Middle.
Ordered that Mr. Banister be desired to Measure the Works done by
Mr. Meredith in the Strand
and several other places.
Great Complaints being made of the bad Lighting of the Lamps Ordered
that the Lamplighter be Summoned to attend the next Meeting
Ordered that in Case the Inhabitants of Wych Alley pay the arrear
due for their Houses a Lamp being put therein
Adjourned to the 21st. Instant at Six o'Clock
