Ordered that the Clerk wait upon the Committee for Paving Saint
Giles and request they will please to order their Supervisor to measure so much
of Sheffield and Portsmouth Streets as lies in their Parish and that the said
Committee will when the said Streets are Measured please to order Payment of
their proportion for paving the said Streets.

Mr. Nixon Inspector to this Committee being Examined on Oath
returning to this Committee that a Post is necessary the Corner of Shore Lane
another the corner of Ship yard - Ordered that the same be forthwith put

Messrs: Meredith and Lovett Contractors with this Committee having
applied and requested Payment of £100 more on account of Work down the
Committee signed a Certificate to the Commissioners for Paving Westminster
that there is justly due and owing to the said Meredith and Lovett the sd. £100

Ordered that the Clerk advertise for borrowing a Sum of £160
at four and a half per cent on the 5th. Febry. next and that the Committee
summoned to attend on that day to consider the proper method for Payment
of the several Bills for New Paving

Adjourned to the 25th. Inst. at Six O' Clock

Ordered that the respective Committees be desired to acquaint [..]
Commissioners with such Houses and other Buildings as hinder or obstract
passing of Carriages from one Street to another and where the Ground on who
they stand may be necessary and usefull to the Public, as also of any obstructing
by Bulks, Sheds or other Erections in or upon the Footways which they [..]
expedient to be taken down as to have them Inserted in the Paving Bill.

The Commissioners would be glad to receive the Opinion of the several
Committees on a Proposal for Consolidating the Optional Streets with the
respective Parishes.
