Saint Clement Danes

Middlesex

to wit Sarah Ling< no role > aged about 20 years upon
her Oath saith that she never was married that
she lived as a hired yearly Servant with Mrs. Druke
in St. Pauls Church yard for about two years at
the yearly Wages of £6 that she hath quitted said
Service about Nine Months since which time she
has done no Act to gain a Subsequent Settlement
And further this Examinant upon her Oath saith
that on the 15th. day of September now last past
she was delivered of a Male Bastard Child at the
House of a Mr. Murphy in Nags head Court Drury
Lane in the Parish of Saint Clement Danes which
hath since been Christened by the Name of William< no role >
That one William Gallant< no role > who lived at said Mrs. Drake
his Sister in Saint Pauls Church Yard is the father
thereof he having had Carnal knowledge of this
Examinants Body sometime in the Month of Decr.
last and at several times since at one of which times
he did beget the said Bastard Child of which she
was so delivered as aforesaid and that the said
William Gallant< no role > is the only real and true father
thereof.
