Margaret Stone< no role > aged abt. 25 Years Upon Oath
says she never was Married and that she lived a
hired Yearly Servant with Mr. Saxton at the Unicorn
in Fountain Court in the Strand in the Parish of Saint
Clement Danes in the County of Middlesex for One year
and Upwards at the Yearly Wages of Six Pounds
quitted said Service about five Months and hath not
since Rented Ten Pounds a year or paid Taxes.
And further upon her Voluntary Oath says
she is pregnant with Child or Children which is or
are likely to be born a bastard or bastards and to
become chargeable to the said Parish of St. Clement
Danes she being poor and unable to maintain the
same when born, says that James Launder< no role > a Surgeon
(who this Examinant has been informed now lives and
resides at MitchelDean in Gloucestershire ) did beget
the said Bastard Child or Children on her Body, he
having had carnal knowledge thereof sometime in
the Month of December last and at several other
times since at one of which times he got her with Ye.
Child or Children with which she is now pregnant
and that the said James Launder< no role > and no other
Person did beget the same;
