Susanna Strugnell< no role > aged about 21 Years Lodging
at Mr. Hamerton's in Water Street in the Parish of St. Clement
Danes in the County of Middx upon Oath saith she was
never Married That she was on or about the Twentieth
day of August One thousand seven hundred and sixty one
delivered at the House of the said Mr. Hamerton in Water
Street in the Parish of St. Clement Danes aforesaid of
a Female Bastard Child since Christned Susanna
which is yet living and likely to become Chargeable
to the said Parish of St. Clement Danes she being poor
and unable to Maintain the Same And that James
Cowen
< no role > a Waiter at the Anchor & Crown Tavern in the
Strand did beget such Female Child having had carnal
Knowledge of her Body in or about the Month of
December last at the Anchor and Crown Tavern
aforesaid (she then living Servant there) and at several
times since at one of which times he got her with Child
of the Child she was delivered of as aforesaid
