Mary Place< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. aged abt. Twenty One Years upon Oath
says she never was Married and that she lived a hired
Yearly Servant with Mr. Mortimer the third door from
Devereux Court in the Strand towards Temple Bar in
the Parish of St. Clement Danes in the County of
Middx. for Sixteen Months or thereabouts at the Yearly
Wages of Five Pounds and hath quitted said Service
abt. four Months. And further upon her Voluntary
Oath says that on the Ninth day of September 1759.
she was delivered of a Male Bastard Child in the
house of Mr. Sadd in Old Boswell Court in the said
Parish of St. Clement Danes which hath since
been baptized John< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. says that one John FitzJohn< no role >
a Carpenter (who now absconds) had carnal know-
-ledge of her Body on or abt. the 27th. day of December
1758. and at one other time since at one of which times
he got her with Child of the Male Bastard Child
of which she was delivered as aforesaid and that
the said John FitzJohn< no role > and no other Person
did beget the same
