Elizth: Powell< no role > aged abt. 36 Years upon Oath
says she is the Wife of Joseph Powell< no role >
who is now at Sea with whom she Intermarried
at the fleet London abt. 11 Yrs. ago & by whom she
has 2 Children Ann< no role > aged upwards of Nine
Years & Sarah< no role > aged abt. three Years says her
said husband on the 25th. day of Decr. 1744
(he being at that time a single Man ) hired
himself as a Covenant Servant for 2 Years
to Mr. Isaac Couse< no role > of Carey Street in the
Parish of St. Clement Danes in the Liberty of
Westmr. in the County of Middx. Stay maker
& served the said Mr. Couse for the Term
of Two Years as aforesaid says Mr. Couse
agreed with this Examinants husband to
give him One Shilling P Week for the first
Year of his said Service & two Shillings
P Week for the second Year of his said
Service says her sd. husband after he
quitted his said Service never Rented ten
Pounds a Year paid Parish Taxes or
lived a hired Yearly Servant for one Year
as her said husband hath informed her & as
she verily believes
