to wit Mary Collis< no role > Aged about Twenty five Years
on her Oath Says she never was married Rented house
or paid Taxes she lived a hired Yearly Servant with her
Brother John Collis< no role > a Waiter in Cumberland Court
Drury Lane in the Parish of Saint Clement Danes in
the Liberty of Westminster for Two Years or thereabouts
at the Yearly Wages of five Pounds hath quitted her said
Service upwards of one Year & an half ago and hath not
since she quitted the same ever Rented House paid Taxes
or lived a hired Yearly Servant for one Year And further
upon her Voluntary Oath Says that on the fourth day of
Febry 1770 she was delivered of a Female Bastard Child in
her said Brothers House in Cumberland Court aforesaid who
has since been Baptized by the Name of Frances< no role > she being
Poor and unable to maintain the same Says that one Mr.
Thomas Holman< no role > This name instance is in set 2105. a Custom house Officer & who belongs to the
Searchers Office is the Father thereof he having had Carnal
Knowledge of her Body at her Lodgings at one Mr. Vaughams in
Wych Street some time in the Month of Feby 1769 and at [..]
times afterwards at one of which times he got her with Child of
the Female Bastard Child of which she was so delivered a [..]
aforesaid and that the said Thomas Holman< no role > and us other pur [..]
did beget the same and that he is the real and true Father th [..]
