Ann Trueman< no role > aged about 25 Years upon Oath
saith she never was married and that she lived a Yearly
Servant with Mr Craig a Peruke maker in Essex Street in the
Parish of St Clement Danes in the County of Middlesex at
the Yearly Wages of £3, £4 & £5. for 3 Years & upwards
and has not since she quitted her sd Service rented Ten
pounds a Year paid Parish Taxes lived a Yearly Servt. for
one Year or otherwise gained a Settlement in any other
Place to her knowledge or belief and further upon her
Voluntary Oath saith she is pregnant with Child or Childn.
which is likely to be born a bastard or bastards & to
become Chargeable to the said Parish of St. Clemt Danes
she being Poor & unable to maintain the same
when born and that Geo Newton< no role > late a Servant to
Sr . Fras. Charlton< no role > did beget the sd. Child or Children
on her body the sd. Geo. Newton< no role > lodging with his
Master at the aforesd. Mr Craigs there he became
Acquainted with her & had carnal knowledge of her
body in the month of May last and at sevl. other
times since at one of which times he got her with
Child of the sd. bastard Child or Children whereof
she is now pregnant and that the said Geo. Newton< no role >
