St. Clement Danes

Ann Hannah Sewell< no role > aged 18 Years or thereabouts upon
her Oath saith That she never was Married
saith That she lived as an hired Yearly Servant
with Mrs. Elizth. Cowley< no role > of Portugal Street in the
Parish of Saint Clement Danes in the County of
Middlesex upwards of 3 years at the Yearly Wages of £5. hath
Quitted her said Service about 2 Years ago since
which time she this Examinant hath not Done any
Act Matter or thing to gain a Subsequent Settlement
to the best of her knowledge Information or belief
And further upon her Voluntary Oath that she
is preg pregnant with Child and or Children
which is or are likely to be born a Bastard
or Bastards and to become Chargeable to
the said Parish of Saint Clement Danes she
being loss and unable the same when born
and further Saith That one John Jones< no role > of No 12
Holliwell Street is the father there of he
having had Carnal knowledge of this Examinant
Body sometime in the Month of June or July
last and at several different times afterwards
at one of which times he did be get the said
Child or Children of which she in pregnant and
that the said John Jones< no role > and no one else
is the real true father thereof
