Coat Pocket there was a Parcel containg
divers Letters and Papers which are
now Produced to the Jury but from
what they have seen [..] his Name or Place
of Abode cannot he ascertained.
this Depon then sent for a Coach and
put him there in and Conveyed him frist
to the Watch House and as he was ther
quite dead he Conveyed hin from
thence to St. James's Infirmary

Hay Market
being Sworn deponth
that about ½ past 11 on Monday night
last ( the 20th. Inst.) as he was Standing
by the Blue Post Doors in the Hay Market
being his usual Station where he sold
Oysters, he observed the deceased going
up the inside of a Ladder which Stood
in the Hay Market
against Mr. Valley's
House whereupon this Depont. asked him
if he belonged to the House, but he made
no answer but Dept. going up the inside
of the Ladder and when he got near the
Top he threw his Leg out and got round
to the outside of the Ladder, upon which
this Depont. when immediately and knowed
at the Street Door until Mr. Vally came
to the Door when he told her that a Man
was just gone up the Ladder and whilst
he was telling her what had happened the deceased
