Informations taken this Second
day of September 1785 at the Parish
of St. Margaret within the Liberty of
Westmr . in the County of Midsex upon
an Inquisition touching the death of
George. Pawphry< no role > lying dead in the
said Parish Liberty and County

Archdale Harris< no role > of New Palace Yard
Westmr . Surgeon on his Oath saith That
on Wednesday Evening the Thirty First
day of August last about Nine o'Clock
this Dept. was desired to go to Mrs Elizabeth Baker< no role >
in Parliament Street in the Parish of
St. Margaret to the Deced who had met
with an Accident Says that he went and
found the Deced in great Ag [..] and upon
Examination found [..] that he had reced
an Injury by falling upon the back
upright of a Chair which passed a
considerable Length up theBody
Fundament, and lacorated the Intestines
and Neighburing parts, of which the
Deced died last Night the first Instant,
at his [..] Mistress House.

Elizabeth Moore< no role > Cook to Mrs. Baker in
Parliament Street Wesmr. on her Oath saith
That on Wednesday Evening last George Pawphry< no role >
the Deced was going to fix a Padlock upon
the Iron Barrs in the Area of Mrs. Baker's
House in Parliament Street , and standing
with [..] one foot on each side of the Area
Deced shipped and fell upon the Back
upright of a Chair which passed into his
Fundament. Says that Mr. Harris the Surgeon
