day of August 1785 at the at the Parish of
St. George Hanover Square within the
Liberty of Westmr . in the County of Midsex
upon an Inquisition touching the death
of a new bornFemale Child lying
dead in the said Parish Liberty & County

Joseph Ferdinando Gilles< no role > of Hill Street
Berkley Square Surgeon on his Oath saith
That he this day Examined anew born
Female Child, and from the Size of the Child
is of Opinion that it was between, Six
and Seven Months Child, and from
the Pictred State of the Child Dept. says
that it is impossible for him to say
whether she was born alive, or not

William Woodfield< no role > of Little George Street
in the Parish of St. George Hanover Square
Bricklayer on his Oath saith That he
was at Work this Morning between Ten
& Eleven o'Clock at Mr. Daniel Bargeman< no role >
in Charles Street in the Parish of St.
George Hanover Square , and in a leader
Stick Trap found a Female Child, dead
appearing quite fresh, but Cover [..] with
Soil. and Dept. cannot say how long the
Child had been born, Says that he saw
no other Marks of Violence upon the Child
than he made with the Shovel in getting
it out of the Soil.
