Informations taken this Twenty sixth
day of August 1785 at the Parish of
St. Martin in the Fields within the
Liberty of Westmr . in the County of
Midsex upon an Inquisition
touching the death of Mary Caravaugh< no role >
lying dead in the said Parish Liberty
and County.

Ann Thompson< no role > of Hemmings Row in the
Parish of St. Martin in the Fields Broker
on her Oath saith That Mary Caravaugh< no role >
the Deced has Lodged about three Weeks
it Deponent's with a Mr. Webb, and passed
by his Name, Says that on Wednesday
Evening last this Dept. went into the Deceds
Room, who was waiting for Mr. Webb's
coming house, Says that the left the Deced
alone in her Room about half after Twelve
o'Clock, who was very uneasy at Mr Wobb [..]
not being come home and Dept. believes
that he did not come home that Night
Says that Yesterday about two o'Clock in
the Afternoon this Dept. went into the
Deced's Apartment (the Door being open)
and at the feet of the Bed saw the Deced
who appeared to be sitting down,upon
but did not speak, upon which Dept
called Mr. Bollass who said that the
Deced was tied by a String, and Dept
saw the String about the Deced's Neck
and fastened to a Nail in the Wains of
Says that Mr. BellasswithCut the Cord
and Deced was lard upon the Floor, being
Dead and Cold, and Dept. believes that
the Deced Hanged herself, Says, that the
Deced was very fond of Mr. Webb and
was very uneasy when he was abrok
