Informations taken this Fifth
day of April 1785 at the Parish of
St. Mary le Strand within the Liberty
of Westmr . in the County of Midsex upon
an Inquisition touching the death of
a Man unknownlying dead in the said
Parish Liberty and County.

George Wood< no role > one of the Watchmen of the
Parish of St. Mary le Strand on his Oath saith
That between Eleven and Twelve of the Clock
on Sunday Night last the Third Instant
Dept. was upon Duty was called by [..]
Thomas Chithy< no role > another Watchman saying that
there was a Man almost dead upon which
he went and saw the Deced standing against
a Window of Mr. Reeves in the Strand in
the Parish of St. Clement Danes , Says that
he asked Deced which Parish he belonged to, and
Deced, made some Answer but in so low
a Voice that Dept. could not understand
the Deced being very weak, Says that
they intended taking him to the Watchhouse
belonging to the Parish of St. Mary le Strand
and each of them took hold of Deced's Arm
to help him along, That he walked
between them as far as the One Ball
Inn, where Deced grew quite helpless
and did not move himself afterwards
nor did Dept. observe any life in Deced
after that time, Says that they their
carried Deced to the Watchhouse who
had then no Appearence of life, and
Dept. believes the Deced died on a
natural Way.
