day of March 1785 at the Parish of
St. Martin in the Fields within
the Liberty of Westmr . in the County
of Midsex upon an Inquisition
touching the death of Charles Lenager< no role >
lying Dead in the said Parish
Liberty and County

William Penny< no role > a Lodger at the Sign of the
Marginss of Granby in Villers Street York
Buildings on his Oath saith That Charles
Lenagent
< no role > the Deced a Bricklayer and this Depont. went
together to the Ship ale house in Charles Court
any drank between them Six Pots of Porter
and each of them a Glass of Gin having
staid there from about seven o'Clock in
the Evening artil about Twelve on
Wednesday Night last the Ninth Instant
Says that they then went to the Sign
of the Bills Head in Hungerford Market
in the Parish of St. Martin in the Fields
says that they drank two Glasses a pieces
of Gin, and the Brick layer then went
away and asked Deced to go with him
but Deced said he would not see yet
Says that Deced and this Dept. drank
more Gin, Dept. cannot say how many
Glasses, but Dept. paid two Shillings &
two pence for the whole that was drank
out of which Dept. gave another man
in the Room two Glasses, Says that
Dept. was Sick when he was Drinking
went out and vointed, then returned
into the House and drank more with
the Deced, Says that the Deced after he
had drank the last Glass said that the
