Verdict of the Jury touching the Death of Elizabeth Cooper< no role >
That the said Elizabeth Cooper< no role >
not being Sound Mind Memory
and Understanding but Lunatic and Distracted on the 29th. day of
July 1773, at the Parish of St. James in the Liberty of Westminster
one end of a certain peice of Cord unto an Leon Staple fastened
into the Ceiling in the Back Kitchen Room on Apartment of the
said Elizabeth Cooper< no role >
in a House situate in little Peter Street
in the said Parish and Liberty and the other end thereof about
her own Neck did fix tye and fasten, and therewith did then
and there hang suffocate and strangle herself of which said
Hanging Suffocation and Strangling, she the said Elizabeth
Cooper< no role >
then and there Died. And so the Jurors on their Oath
say that the said Elizabeth Cooper< no role >
not being of Sound Mind
Memory and Understanding but Lunatic and Distracted in
Manner and by the Means aforesaid did Kite herself. In
Witness whereof the Foreman on behalf of himself and the
rest of the Jurors has hereunto set his Hand they 30th, day of
July 1773
