Ann Tubb< no role > Wife of John Tubb< no role > of the Parish of Saint George
Hanover Square in the County of Middlesex William Nicholls< no role > of the same Parish
Turner and William Gataker< no role > of the same Parish Apothecary severally make
Oath and Say And first this Deponent Ann Tubb< no role > for herself Saith That she very
well knows the said Robert Ogle< no role > and has known and been acquainted with him
for several Years last past And this Deponent saith that during all the Time
this Deponent has known him his Conduct and behaviour has been such as
be tokened him to be person disordered in his mind and a Lunatick And this Deponent
Saith that she in her Conscience verily believes the said Robert Ogle< no role > to be a Lunatick
And this Deponent further Saith that she very well knows the Family and
Relations of the said Robert Ogle< no role > who all live in Ireland And this Deponent
Saith that imediately after the misfortune happened for which the said Robert
Ogle is now confined in Newgate this Deponent wrote a Letter to one Robert
Finlay of Stony Batter near Dublin in Ireland who has the Core and Custody
of the Brother of the said Robert Ogle< no role > who is also Lunatick (as this Deponent
has been informed and verily Believes) and acquainted him with the Accident and desired
him to acquaint the Friends and Relations of the said Robert Ogle< no role > therewith
and that some person would come ever to take proper care of the said Robert Ogle< no role >
and his Defence or to that Effect but this Deponent has not yet received any
Answer to her said Letter and therefore a few days ago wrote another Letter to the same purpose And this Deponent William Nicholls< no role > for himself
Saith that the said Robert Ogle< no role > has lodged at this Deponents House for two
Years and upwards last past during which Time he has appeared and Acted
as a Person disordered in his Senses and this Deponent verily believes the said
Robert Ogle< no role > to be a Lunatick And this Deponent William Gataker< no role > for himself
Saith That he has known and been acquanited with the said Robert Ogle< no role > for
many Years last past and has often attended him as his Apothecary and during
the greatest part of the Time this Deponent has known Him he has asked and appeared
to this Deponent as a Person of Insane mind and this Deponent verily believes
him to be a Lunatick And all these Deponents Say they verily believe the said Robert
Ogle by reason of his Insanely to be incapable of preparing for or making a
proper Defence upon his Tryal.
