At the General Quarter Session of the peace of our Lord the King held at the
Town Court House near Westmr. Hall in & for the Liberty of the Dean & Chapter
of the Colligate Church of St. Peter Westmr. the City Borough & Town of Westmr.
in the County of Middx & St. Martins Le Grand London by adjournment on Saturday
to wit the Tenthday of July
in the Sixteenthyear of the reign of our [..] Sovereign
Lord George the Second now King of Great Britain France & Ireland Defender of the
Faith Etc before Thomas Ledrard James Fraser Samuel Edge Richard< no role >
Manley Esquires

and others their fellows Justices of our said Lord the King Assigned to keep the
peace within the said Liberty and alsoe to hear & Determine divers
Felonies Trespasses & Other Misdeeds done & Commited within the said
Liberty.

Upon Reading the Humble Peticon of John Barrett< no role > Exhibitted to
this Court thereby shewing that the said peticoner was Apprentice to
John Peter< no role > Vierne and had served him truely about Two Years and
the Condition of the said Peticoners. Indenture was that the said John
Peter Vierne< no role > should teach him the art of business of a Cabinetmaker

That the said Peticoner had been imployed mostly in makeing
of Picture Frames or Work of the like kind dureing the time the sd.
peticoner had been with his sd Master and the sd Peter Vierne< no role >
did not make any Cabinet makers Work above one peice in a Year
haveing now to do

That the sd Peticoner sd Master was frequently so needy
and in such Slender Circumstances as not being also either to buy
Wood & Materials to Work with or even provision for the Family
whereby the sd. Peticonr. was oblidged to Live several Meals on
Bread & Water

It was therefore prayed that this Court would discharge
the sd. peticonr from his Master and turned over to some other
person for the reasons aforesd. It was ordered that the sd John Peter< no role >
Vierne should attend this Court this day at time of the Clock in the
forenoon to shew Cause why the said Apprentice should not be discharged
of his Indenture of apprentice hood to the said John Peter< no role > Vierne and
the said John Peter< no role > Vierne being duly served with a Copy of the said
Peticon and Order Attended this Court accordingly and upon a full
