therein Named or any three of us to meet at the Vestry Room belonging
to the Parish Church of St. Pauls Covent Garden in this Liberty on
Tuesday the 14th. day of July then next at 10 a Clock in the forenoon
and at such other times and places as the sd. Referrers or any 3 of them
Should think fit to Appoint & to Examine into the truth of the Alligations
Contained in the sd. Petition And that the sd. Petionrs. and also the
Constables of the parish of St. Pauls Covent Garden in the Sd. Liberty
have Notice Given them by the High Constable or Cryer of this Court or
his Deputy to Attend the sd. Referrers at the time and place aforesaid
and their Other meetings on this Occasion And the sd. Referrers or
any 3 of them were thereby desired to take the Examinations of the
Petitionrs: and Such other persons as they should think fitt touching if:
prmisses & to Grant Warrts. for the Apprehending prosecuting and
Punishing of such persons as Should be found to be Offending in the
prmisses & ought to be punished as Idle and Disorderly Persons as also such
as keep Ill Governed & Disorderly Houses contrary to Law And the sd.
Referrers or any 3 of them were desired to Report their proceedings in
the prmisses And their Opinions there upon to the Court at the Next
or any other General Quarter Sessions of the peace to be held for this
Liberty That Such further proceeding might be had and taken
therein as Should or agreeable to Law.

That by Severall Orders of Sessions the matters of their
Inquiry have been Extended to the parishes of St. Margts. Westmr. St. any
Westmr. St. John the Evangelist St. James Westmr. and St. Georges in
Hannover Square.

That Some of us and other Justices of the peace named
as Referrers in the sd. orders of Sessions met for the first time at
Covent Garden Vestry on Tuesday the 14th. Day of July last & Chose
Thomas Railton< no role > Esqr . Chairman of this Comittee and Examined
into the allegations of the sd. Petition & found the Same to be true
And looke a Great number of Examinations upon Oath of the
Petitioners & other persons Agst. these that kept Disorderly House
and Immediately Issued out our Warrants Against them Some of
whome have been committed to Prison for want of Surities and others
Bound Over to the Sessions.

That Complaints Still Continueing to be made of
the Neighbours of such Disorderly practices this Committee has repeated
their meetings at severall Vestry's in all 42 times.
