And after the reading and confirmacon of the
orders and busines of the last Court it was
ordered as followeth Vizt.

A Report of the Comittee of this Court was presented and read in the

To the Generall Court of St. Thomas Hospitall

Mr. Coldhams agreemt.


That part of a wall of this Hospitall adjoyning to an house belonging to
John Coldham< no role > Esqr . being in demolishing we found Mr. Coldham had incroached
thereon by putting timbers into the same by the Face of 45 foot and an
half from East to West computing from the East end of Seete of the
said wall reckoning from the end of the said wall next the high Streete of
Southwarke being the West End of the said Wall And have agreed to make
him a Lease of the same for the terme of 99 Yeares from Midsomer 1695
at the yearly rent of 2s.6d paiable yearly on the Feast day of the
Nativity of St. John Baptist and with reasonable Covenants for Securing
the payment of the same rent.

There happeing a fire about Christmas 1694 in a Tenement held of
this Hospitall in St. Thomas parish by William Bates< no role > by Lease made to
Richard Smart< no role > of the paid parish Haberdasher for 21. yeares from Lady
day 1682 at the yearly rent of £4.10s. Which fire did not only confirme
the tenement held by the said William Bates< no role > but also fower other Tenemts.
adjoyning held by Sarah Swannell< no role > Executrix of Ann Diaper< no role > therein two
pear [..] was to come in the Lease at Lady day 1696 at the rent of £4 P annm.
