The Court was informed by Mr Treasurer of the Sale of Twenty Elmes
Standing on part of our Lands of Orpington in Lent unto Roger Bates
for the sum of Twenty and nine pounds and tenn Shillings payable
Fifteene pounds on the Seaventh day of February 1677 and the residue
on the twenty fourth day of June next; And alsoe of the Sale of 190
oak trees Standing on the said lands unto Richard Abbott< no role > and Littlegro [..]
Hickley for the Sum of Two hundred thirty nine pounds to be paid as
followeth (Vizt:) one hundred twenty foure pounds and tenn Shillings on
the fifteenth day of February last and one hundred and fourteen pounds
and tenn Shillings on the foure and twentith day of June next; Both
which Sales were approved by this Court

A Generall Court held at St:

And after the reading and confirmacon of the Orders and
business of the last Court It was ordered as followeth (Vizt:)

Mr. Sowton chose
Mmr of St Tomas


Dr: Samll: Rolls, Mr. William Sowton, Mr. John Goodwin< no role >
and Mr Zouch, having every one preuched in St. Thomas Church
Southwarke one Lords dayes fince and according to the orders of the last
Court, And now the said foure persons being putt to the Vote which
of them should be chosen Minister of the sd Parrish of St. Thomas Sowtha< no role > [..]
now Vacant by the resignacon of Mr. John Scott< no role > late Minister there
as by his Preferment to a Benifice in London; The Court Elected
the said Mr. William Sowton< no role > Minister of the said Pish of St. Thomas
to whom the Court graunted the same with all the proffits lawfully
thereunto incident or belonging and lawfully received by former minister
there (Except Tythes) Together with the Gallary of Sixty Pounds P
Annu to be paid unto him by quarterly payments for and in Leiu of [..]
the tyeths of and in the said Pish and for his House Rent To hold in
same soe long as hee shall execute the same to the good liking of
the Governrs. of this house and not otherwise

Gratuity to Mr
Scott


Ordered That tenn Pounds be paid to Mr Scott late Minister
of St. Thomas Parrish as a Free guift of this Court.
