By those Orders made when there were only
Three Surgeons They were to have no more than

Four Surgeons they have about Eight a peice
none of whom have been Licenced by this

That the Apothecary is Allowed only Two
Pupills but he has now Three.

The said Orders of the 17th. March 1702. And
also the Orders relating to the Apothecarys Pupills
were read.

The late Treasurer Mr. Cole (being present)
Informed this Comittee That he had some times
Consented to Licence a Greater number of Pupills
for the Surgeons and Apothecary than the
Orders did Allow being authorized so to do by the proviso in the said Orders But that for a Considerable
time before he Resigned the place of Treasurer
being of Opinion The Numbers of the Surgeons
Pupills were grown to great He had for borne to
Licence any of them And that none of their
present Pupills were Licenced by him.

The Four Surgeons Mr. Ferne Mr. Paul Mr Chisseldon
and Mr. Tanner were called in and Heard relating
to this Affaire They Acknowledged they had
