St. Thomas's Hospital sat 26th decr 1799

Mr Chambers Sir
I duly received yours of the 20th. covering two
Bills Value one hundred seventy six Pounds eighteen Shillings
£176.18in part of Bewicks tents to Lady day Last.

I left London a few days before the 28th Septr. but into Letter
Prior. that your mentioned your Opinion about the Collings, &
suggested who then it might not be proper to work it for the [..]
of ascertaining the Value, & that the Expence of Implements Etc
would be £300 or £400 which would or a great M [..] be
repaid on lettering A: to this I answered that nothing but
Necessity would induces to such an Undertaking Even with
the tunelled Expence. Be the art way I well or Suppose
of guite dropped & consider the Mode of Letting A New Nothing
can be more obvious than that the Turant should be [..]
to make good every damage, & removed & level every In cum-
-brance, in short whatever every inquire the land for it is con-
trary to cer [..] to risque what is [..] & above Ground,
for what is under & insurable not would I adverse trusting with
any one or any other footing. We are not competent at to judge
of these Matters take those who are used to them, therefore
came [..] of see the Necessity of your coming to Town unless other
Business calls for it. Webbing your Complents of the Season

Pound being the [..] reced of Mr Burgey for a Cause
agreed to be granted him & in Case of any farther herein to
return the money. I must [..] you that we one much out to
of or Mony Matters, the excessive dearness of every, They is much
felt in or large of amity; It would be some [..] certain
old lady would behave better; is a gilley they to be or ley
kept as of what was expected long ago.

I duly received yours at the 29th. Cavering a Bill
Value five hundred Pound £500 in part of Tibshelf rents
when you have paced towards the Coal tough & Millward, I pep-
-pers well be spicefied in the Account: the Cellecey seem to
be a hobbling Affair; [..] we may adjust it when we meet
but if [..] Weather can present it sd. not know when it
was more likely. Weeking you a safe if not pleasurer
