The Term of the Lease of Pinner Farm
Agreed to be Granted to your late Brother Mr: Philip Aldwin< no role >
Expiring at Michas 1768. I am to Acquaint you by Order of
Mr: Treasurer
That the Governors of the Hospital will be
ready to Receive Proposals from Severall persons who will
Apply for a New Lease And tho' Tis usual to prefer Old
Tenants if they have behaved Well and Complyed with the
Covenants of their Leases. Yet as this has not been your Case
And you have been very Troublesome in many instances, you
are rot to Expect. the Favour shewn to Good Tenants
One thing I must Fell you is absolutely
Necessary for you immediately to Do and that is to pay for the
Lease which your Brother; had he Lived, was too honest to have
Neglected and which to your great Shame you have hither to
refused.

I have recd. notice from Mr. Swaine that he intends to fall the Wood
Agst: Mr. Sankeys wood, & the Sheaves round the Hooks next falling time
He also inform'd me that you wod. be glad of an Order from ye Trer:
relating to the Timber for his repairs; which I here send you as under And
also what he agreed to allow Mr. Sankey

Timber to be allow'd Mr. Swaine to Repair the Well, the Lumber Room,
and the flore of the Granary. According to your Discretion
To be allow'd Mr. Sankey 50 feet for the posts & Rails about the house
& what you think necessary for the pailing before the House
Proper timber for Repairing the Granary. If Elm will do. use those mark'd
unsound
Proper timber to Repair the Pound.
And what timber is on the Estate proper for Lushing the House but if
more is wanting for that purpose than is on the Estate. Mr. Sankey must
provide it himself
N B. the Elm trees must not be cut down
