of St. Thomas's
Hospital
I have this day View'd & examin'd a party wall between
Mr. Hearsey Tenent of the Hospital. & the next House
South adjoyning which belongs to the Worshipful Company of
Grocers
, and do find all the lower part of the said Wall
in a very
ruinous Condition, & splitt in a very bad and dangerous manner,
and it is my opinion that unless speedy care be taken to under pin
the said Party Wall, to may Endanger ye Houses, and as it must
be an equal Expence, I Desire the favour of your answer which
whill oblige

present Treasurer, who hath order'd me to acquaint you that He
hath appointed Mr. John Chatbourn< no role >
of Hastingleigh
(the
Bearer hereof) to be the Hospital Woodreeve instead of Mr.
Braybrook whom Mr. Treasurer desires you will pay for
his Trouble in Proportion to what Mr. Knock was allowed, which
was 5s a Journey, and it appeares by my Letters to yourself &
Mr. Sankey that Mr. Braybrook hath had 3 Journies since his
appointmt.
