for a couple of Sticks to repair his small Barne; Mr: Collin, who
is ill here in Town, his recommended you as a proper Person to direct those
Repairs: Mr: Treasurer therefore desires you will see what is necessary
to be done, & mark out what Timber is fit for them, & likewise that you
will take care of the Bark & pay the Workmen. you will please to
send an Account of what you do in this Affair to
Mr. Surridge a Carpenter at Parndon

Yours of the 31st: last came safe wth: the inclosed Bill
on Mr. Beighton for £32:1:3 wch: is accepted, and will, wch yor. Allowance
for Collecting, pay up the Rent to Laday last. As to the Deputation
Mr Treasurer has ordered me to acquaint you, that He does not remember
any ever being granted, & therefore choose to defer giving any Directions
about this without consulting the Committee, which he intends to do the
first time they meet.

the Complaint agt. your Tenant Hankins for Interrupting Mr Ashby's
Fishing has been laid before the Grand Committee of Governors of this
Hospital by whose Order I am to acquaint you That (notwithstanding their
known Backwardness to enter into a Dispute wth: Sr

or any other Gentlemen) as the Comitee apprehend the Hospital & their
Tenants have an Undoubted right to this Fishery (Exclusive of any
other person whatsoever) not only from an Un interrupted Enjoyment time
Immemorial but from other Evidence they think themselves found in
Justice to the Charity of which they are Trustees, to Maintain & defend
this right upon all proper occasions & have come to a Resolution to do so in
the present Case
