Sherborn Lane 24th. Octor. 1730.

Mr. William Watkinson< no role >

Sir.
I have Acquainted out Governors with the Contents of yours
of the 17th. Current concerning Dringhouses affair and have their
directions to send the enclosed to Mr. Barlow and as I know not
now to direct and also am desirous to be certain of its coming to his
hand I beg you will be so good as to deliver it to him

You are right at to the Hospitals claim for his not immediately
material to them who has the Estate but if Mrs. Watkinson will
pay the Arrear due to the Hospital and send me an Account of
her Case and title the Gent. I believe would give her such
assistance as is consistant with their Trust and as She is
almost in the nature of a Tenant it may perhaps be in their
power to do something in Support of her right if she acts justly
by them in duely paying the Annuity.

Signed by Mr. Matthew

To Barlow Esqr.

Sir
I have lately received advice that you have Entred upon an
Estate at Dringhouses which estate together with another called
Browns Moor are charged with a Clear Annuity of Twenty
five pounds P Annu payable to the 4 Hospl. of Christ Bride
-well Sr. Bartholomews and St. Thomas the Apostal which was
Granted by one Mr. Fawcther in the reign of King James the first
and has been constantly paid till about 10 Years ago
from which time the Arrears are now due and that long
arrear has been occasioned partly by the mis conduct
of one Mr. Visey who Owned some part of the Estate and partly
from other accidents which prevented its being look's after
so carefully as was proper
