Mr Skingle
I have had information of Mr Woollard's having
cut down Several Timber trees upon the Hospll. Ground
without the Privity of the Governrs. I desire you will
take an accot. of what timber or trees he has cut down
upon his Farme and send me as Speedy & exact an
accot. of it as you can & be mindfull of what all the
Tennts. do so that no Damage be done to the Hospital
Estates Pray let me know when it will be convenient
to fell the Woods & what Quantity & what timber it
will be proper to take down that is at full growth

to be thence sent by the first Opportunity

St. Thomas's Hospl. Southwark 26o. January 1727.

Sr.
I wrote you some time ago to desire the Paymt. of the
Arrears of Mr. Fawethers Annuity Granted to this Hospl.
And which by a Deed of 1st. of June 1720. you Convenanted to
pay duly but have suffered about 5 Years to incur due.

Not knowing in what part of yorkshire Levening lay I sent
my Letter to a Friend of nine at York who has since informed
me he sent it you by a Special Messinger And thereupon
I Entertained hopes that you would favour me with an
Answer of which I am yet disappointed This therefore comes
to received you of that affair & to acquaint you that a delay of
complying with what I wrote for will be attended with the
Charge & inconvenience of a Suit or a distress which the
Governrs. of this Hospital are very desireous should be Avoided
I desire you will recollect whether you paid any of the Hospital
Charges of the Suit that proceeded the Agreement made with
them in June 1720. And if you did then how much & to whom
you paid it Pray please to favour me with a speedy Answer

Mr. Burgh
I am directed by a Committee of the Governrs. of this Hospital
to desire you will informe me by a time what you paid for the
Deputation you had some time ago to be their Game keeper at
Parndon the Sooner you could favour me with an Answer
would be the most agreeable I am

near Waltham Abby in Essex
