Sr
The Quitt Rents payable to the Mannor of Derige Helions in
Bumstead are £2.4s.8d P Ann. The Arreare thereof due to
the Hospitall at Christmas last £28:7s:2dI hope Mr Cole
has taken Care to Collect these Quitt Rents, tho he witholds
them thus long from the Hospitall: But if he has been Remiss,
the Hospitall must not Suffer: Therefore please Sr. to
acquaint him, That the Governors expect he Should forthwith
Cleare this Arreare: And that for the future the Quitt Rents
be Collected within the yeare, and answered duely with his
Michas Rent. Att Lady day last, He owed two yeares
Rent for his Farme; Such Arreares are not to be indured.
I hope Sr. He'l take care to discharge it Speedily. I pray
a Line from you and am Etc

I find by the Hospitalls Books there was £68:19:8d due at Xmas
last for Topcliffs Quit Rents at 18£:01:8d P Ann.

I desire you would not faile to Remitt what you have reced
within afortnight at furthest, with a particular Acct: who is
in Arreare, and for what time.
