To the Worshipful his Majesty's Justices
of the Peace for the County of Middlesex in
their General Quarter Session of the Peace for
the said County assembled.

The humble Petition and Appeal of the
Church wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of Saint James Clerkenwell .

Sheweth.


That by an Order under the Hands and Seals of John
Collick
< no role > and T: Hunter Esquires two of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace in and for the said County (one whereof
being of the Quorum) bearing date the 25th. day of November
1799. Sarah Matter< no role > wife of John Matter< no role > who has
deserted her was removed and conveyed from the parish
of Saint Clement Danes in the said County to the said
Parish of Saint James at Clerkenwell as the place of her
last legal Settlement whereby your Petitioners think themselves
aggrieved and appeal to this Court against the same.

Your Petitioners therefore humbly
pray this Court will please to appoint
a time for hearing and that all persons concerned
may then attend.
