MIDDLESEX .


At the General Quarter Session of the Peace
of our Lord the King, holden in and for the
County of Middlesex , at the Session-House for the said
County,(..) on Monday
the Seventh Day of January
in the Thirty ninth Year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Lord, George the Third, King of Great
Britain, Etc. Before William Mainwaring< no role > Thomas
Robinson
< no role > . Rupert Clarke< no role > . Frederick Matthew< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said
Lord the King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County
aforesaid; and also to hear and determine divers
Felonies, Trespasses, and other Misdemeanours com-
mitted in the same County.

WHEREAS the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint George
in Southwark in the County of Surrey Have at this present Session Exhibited their Petition and
Appeal settingforth That by virtue of an Order or Pass Warrant under the Hands and Seals of
G. Goodenough and J. Hunter Esquires two of His Majestys Justices of the Peace acting in and forth
county of Middlesex and Liberty of Westminster (one where of being of the Quorum) bearing dated
Seventhday of december now last past Christopher Gainford< no role > was removed from the Parish of Saint
Clement danes in the County of Middlesex and Liberty of Westminster to the said Parish of Saint
George Southwark in the said County of Surrey alledging the said Parish of Saint George Southwark
to be the place of his last legal settlement whereby the petitconers conceived themselves
aggrieved

Now, upon hearing the said Appeal, and what hath been alledged by the respective
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parishes, their Counsel and Witnesses in
and concerning the Premises, IT IS ORDERED, that the said Appeal be, and the same is
hereby allowed, and the said Order of the said two Justices is hereby vacated and set aside;
and IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of Saint George Southwark do forthwith convey and
deliver back the said Christopher Gainford< no role >
(together with a Copy of this Order) unto the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of Saint Clement danes who are hereby required to
receive and provide for the said Christopher Gainford< no role >
until they can free themselves from the Charge thereof by due course of Law. And IT IS
FURTHER ORDERED, that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Saint Clement danes do forthwith pay or cause to
be paid unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint
George Southwark the Sum of Ten shillings
for their Charges and Expences in relieving and maintaining the said Christopher Gainford< no role >
since his said Removals
