and Overseers of the poor of the Parish of Brill
in the County of

That by Virtue of an Order under or the Hands and Seals of

of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the said County of
Middlesex
beaving date the tenth day of October One thousand
seven hundred and Ninety eight
Alice Haley< no role >
(Stated to be) the
wife of one
Thomas Haley< no role >
, (who had deserted her) and their
Child
Mary < no role >
aged one Year and upwards were conveyed from the
Parish of Tottenham
in the said County of Middlesex
to the
said Parish of Brill
and delivered to the Churchwardens and
Overseers there on the thirteenth October.
That your Petitioners conceive themselves aggrieved by
the said Order and Removal and therefore humbly appeal
against the same but as by the great Distance of the
Parish of Brill
the Shortness of the time and other in convenient
Circumstances your Petitioners have been precluded from
collecting the necessary Evidence in support of them Case
Your Petitioners further pray that the hearing of the said
Appeal may be adjourned untill the next General Quarter
Sessions And that this Worshipful Court will please to appoint
some day in such next Sessions for hearing and determining
the said Appeal and that all persons concerned do their Hand
this Court
