Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint John at.

in the County of Middlesex
Sheweth
That

of the said Parish Esquire is a Parishioner of the said a
Parish hath been for a long time past and still continues to be a Poor,
impotent, infirm Person, not able to work and for a long time past
hath been, and still continues to be totally maintained at the charge
of the said Parish in the Workhouse
of the said Parish that the said

her said father is of sufficient ability to maintain
and provide for her and although frequent application hath been
made to him for the purpose he always refused and still refuses so
to do.
Your Petitioners therefore humbly pray that he may be
assessed in such weekly sum of money as your Worships
shall think proper for the relief and maintenance of the
said Martha Shobrooke< no role >
his Daughter
to be paid to the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish
for the time being for so long time as the shall be
chargeable to the said Parish
And Your Petitioners as in duty
bound will ever pray Etc
