The Information of John Ross< no role > of Crown Street in the Parish of
Saint Leonard Shoreditch in the said County Baker taken on
oath before one one of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and
for the said County this third day of March 1794

Who saith That on sunday the second Instant at about a quarter
of an hour past one O Clock in the Afternoon, the prisoner under
examination William Paugh< no role > came into this Informant's Bake
House, and told this Informant that he had come for a piece of
Beef and potatoes, at the same time a piece of beef and potatoes
was in a dish in the Bake house [..] , the Prisoner immediately took
it up, said it was his, and accordingly carried it off, this
informant believing at that time that it really was the
prisoner's property suffered him to cary it away the prisoner
havinghavingpreviously paid this informants wife three
half pence for the baking, And this informant saith that
the said Beef and potatoes were the property of Robert Lilly< no role >
