Be it remembered that the Twenty seventh day of August in the year
of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety three in the County of
Middlesex Thomas Evans< no role > of W [..] the [..]
in the said county, retail [..]
Esquire are of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said County [..]
the place where the offence was [..] for that the [..] Thomas Evans< no role >
on the Seventh day of August [..] and past did [..] , and [..] to [..] one
Elizabeth Briscall< no role > one pair of [..] Gloves abode the [..] of
one shilling and four pences and [..] to the [..] pence
without the stamp [..] [..] ticket direct [..] Law to be offix to the same thing
affixed and marked one [..] the [..] in the case
made [..] directed contrary to [..]
And I do declare and adjudge [..] the [..] St Thomas Evans< no role > hath forfeited the
sum of twenty pounds of lawfull [..] of Great Britain for the offence
aforesaid to be distributed as the law directs Given [..] dering hand and seal
