MIDDLESEX


AT the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our
Lord the King, holden in and for the County of Middlesex , at
the Session-House for the said County, (by adjournment)
on Thursday the twenty third Day of October in the
Twenty eighthYear of the Reign of our Soverign Lord
GEORGE the Third, King of Great Britain Etc, Before William
Mainwaring
< no role > , William Bleamire< no role > David Walker< no role > , Thomas Gordon< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our Said Lord the
King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid; and
also to hear and determine divers Felonies, Trespasses, and other
Misdemeanours committed in the same County

Whereas Edward Fellows< no role > Hath at this present Session Exhibited his Petition
and Appeal setting forth That by a certain Conviction under the Hand and Seal of Edward
parker
< no role > Esquire one of His Majestys Justices of the Peace in and for the said County of
Middlesex bearing date the 11th day of July last past He was Convicted of Selling on the 7th
day of July last to one Ann Raymand< no role > One pair of Leather Gloves exceeding the price and
Value of One Shilling and four pence (to wit) of the price and Value of One Shilling
Six pence subject to a Stamp Duty of Three Pence without affixing any Stamped Ticket
to the said Pair of Gloves as by the Act of Parliament is directed and He was
adjudged to forfeit for the same the Sum of Twenty Pounds whereby the Petitioner
conceived himself aggrieved Now the said Appeal coming on to be heard and the
said Edward Parker< no role > Esquire being solemly called to come forth and support the said
Conviction but not appearing nor any person on his behalf and proof being made
upon Oath that a true Copy of the Petition and Order of Court thereon for the
hearing and determining the same this day had been personally served upon his
It is Ordered that the said Conviction be and the same is hereby Quashed
