MIDDLESEX .


AT the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our
Lord the King, holden in and for the County of Middlesex , at
the Session-House for the said County, ()
on Mondaythe Twenty third Day of Junein the
Twenty EighthYear of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord
GEORGE the Third, king of Great Britain, Etc. Before William
Mainwaring
< no role > , Nathaniel Conant< no role > , William Bleamire< no role > , Richard Tayler< no role > ,
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said Lord the
King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid; and
also to hear and determine divers Felonies, Trespasses, and other
Misdemeanours committed in the same County

Whereas Jane Clemson< no role > Hath at this present Session Exhibited
her Petition and Appeal setting forth That she was on the 4th. day of June
Instant Convicted by Edward Parker< no role > Esquire upon the Information of one William
Pateman
< no role > and the Oath of one Joseph Blackman< no role > in the Sum of £20 for a supposed
Offence against the Glove Act of Parliament for selling a pair of Gloves without a
Stamp whereby the Petitioner conceived herself aggrieved Now the said Appeal
coming on to be heard and the said Edward Parker< no role > Esquire being Solemnly
called to come forth and support the said Conviction but not appearing not any
person on his behalf and Proof being made upon Oath that a Copy of the
Petition and Appeal with the Order of Court thereon for the hearing and
determining the same at this Session had been served upon him It is Ordered
that the said Conviction be and the same is hereby Quashed.
