On the prosecution of
Charles Mayos< no role > for
Petty Larceny

Charles Mayor< no role > of Oxford Street in the parish of
Saint Mary le bone in the County of Middlesex Hosier
Marketh Oath and Saith That he this Deponent was on
the 24th. day of Decmber last past bound in a Recognizence
before John Barnfather< no role > Esquire to prosecute the Prisoner
above named for Stealing in his this Deponents Shop on
the said 24th. day of December one pair of Silk and Worsted
Stockings of the Value of Ten pence his Goods And this
Deponent Saith That at the time her was so bound over to
prosecute the prisoner he this Deponent asked the said John
Barn father
< no role > Esquire the time he was to appear who informed
this deponent he was to appear in February Session
then next and accordingly this Deponent attended at
such session and preferred a Bill of Indictment against
the Prisoner which was Returned a true Bill And this
Deponent Attended the Court from the Thursday untill
Saturday in the Week of the said Session in full Expectation
of the prisoners being brought in to Court to be Tryed on which
day of this Deponent Name was Called over by the Clerk of
the peace and upon appearing he was asked where the prisoner
were he said he believed they were in prison for they were
ordered to be Committed by Mr. Barnfather where upon this
Deponent was then informed That the prisoners were
discharged at the General Quarter Session of the peace held
for the said County in January last at which time this Deponent
was then informed he ought to have attended and prosecuted
the prisoners instead of the last Session And this Deponent
