To the Worshipful His Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the County of Middlesex in General Session of the
Peace assembled.

Sheweth.

The humble Petition and Appeal of The
churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Acton in the County of Middlesex .

That by Virtue of a certain order or Pass Warrant under the
the Hands and Seals of H. R. Courtenay and Jno. Griffiths< no role > Esquires
two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the City and
Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex (one where of being
of the Quorum) bearing date the sixth day of April 1785 Elizabeth
Garrett< no role > was removed from and out of the Parish of Saint George
Hanover Square within the Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex
as the place of her last legal Settlement whereby Your Petitioners
apprehend themselves to be aggrieved.

Your Petitioners therefore humbly appeal
against the said Order or Pass Warrant And
pray that Your Worships will be pleased to
appoint some day in this present Session for
the hearing and determining thereof.

Middlesex (to wit)

At the General Session of the Peace holden for the County
of Middlesex at the Session house in and for the
said County on Tuesday the Tenth day May
in the Twenty fifth year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the third King of Great
Britain Etc.

It is Ordered that the churchwardens and OVerseers of the Poor
of the Parish of saint George Hanover Square within the Liberty of westminster
in the County of Middlesex have Notice of this Appeal And that they and all
persons concerned do attend this Court at the Session house aforesaid on Thursday
the Twelfth day of May instant at Eight of the Clock in the Forenoon to
hear and abide the Judgement and determination of this Court touching
the said Appeal.
