The Examination of John Francis< no role >
names in the annexed Pass Warrant, apprehended
by the Beedle and brought
before me, one of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace in
and for the County of Middlesex .

Who upon Oath saith, That his late Father Joseph Francis< no role > deced
heretofore lived as a hired, Servant With Thomas Page< no role > of East Sheen
in the Parish of Mortlake in the County of Surry Esqr at Certain
Wages as this Examinant has been informer & believes am Wating
in Such Service for divers years & did not afterwards to his knowledge
or belief do any Act to gain a Settlement elsewhere & that he this
Examinant never was an Apprentice nor ever lived as a hired
Servant for a year nor ever In any Act to his Knowledge or
belief to gain a Settlement in his own right
