For the Crown

The King
agt.
Alexr. Grindley< no role > }
For Uttering Counterfeit
Shillings.

The Deft on the 11th. March last Uttered to Thomas Lucas< no role >
Six Counterfeit Shillings and being Apprehended and
Carryed before the Magistrates in Lichfield Street , he
being charged with the Offence, Entred into a Recognizance
for his Appearance as the present Sessions.

Thomas Lucas< no role > to whom the Counterfeit Shillings were
Uttered being an Infant, a Person Entred into a
Recognizance on his behalf, that he (Lucas) should
Prefer a Bill and prosecute as the present Sessions.

Lucas lives at Barnet (with his Father) we have
sent several times after him in Order to have brought
him to the Sessions to have given Evidence on the Bill
but he is not to be found, and we have reason to beleive
that the Defendant has got Lucas out of the Way.

Please to Move that the Recognizance Entred into
for Lucas's Appearance may be respited until
the next Sessions And also that the
Recognizance Entred into by the Deft. may also be
Respited until the next Sessions.
