To the Worshipful his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the County of
Middlesex in their Quarter Session of the Peace assembled at Hicks Hall

The Humble Petition and appeal of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Mary le bone
in the County of Middlesex .

Sheweth


That by Virtue of a Pass Warrant or order under the Hands
and Seals of William Timbrel< no role > and John Phillips< no role > Esquires two of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace in and for the City and Liberty of Westminster
(one whereof being of the quorum) bearing date the First day of
February 1769 John Fowls< no role > Catherine< no role > his Wife and their Four Children
to wit Charles< no role > aged Eight years Elizabeth< no role > aged six years James< no role > three
years and Edward< no role > six Months were removed from the Parish of Saint
George Hanover Square within the Liberty of Westminster to the Parish of
Saint Mary le bone as the place of their last legal Settlement

That your Petitioners conceive themselves to be aggrieved
by the said Order and therefore humbly Appeal to this Court against the
same And

Pray that the benefit of the said appeals may be saved to
your Petitioners and that the hearing and determining thereof may
be adjourned to the next general Session of the Peace to be holden
for the said County and that all persons concerned may then attend

And your Petitioners shall ever pray
