To the Keeper of His Majesty's Gaol

Receive into your Custody the body of
Thomas Sale< no role > an Inhabitant of the Parish
of [..] Saint James Clerkenwell in this County
and Division And keep him safe until he
shall pay Four Shillings Assessed upon him
in & by a Tax Rate or Assessment made upon
the said Inhabitants for the purposes of
Cleansing the Streets & Lanes and Carrying
away the Dust Dirt Ashes Filth & Soil
within the same Parish. For want of
Distress as Appears to Us two of the
Justices of the Peace of the Division aforesd.
upon Oath and by the return of a certain
Distress Warrant lately issued against him
Hereof fail not And this shall be
Your sufficient Warrant Given
under our Hands & Seals the Seventh
Day of July 1766
