touching the death of Jno. Smith< no role > then & there lying dead.

Anthony Delany< no role > of Rosemary Lane Laborer That last Wednesday
Night between 12 & 1. Eliz: Madden< no role > told him That Eliz: Wall< no role > had robb'd
a Person of 2 Yr. & that she believ'd he lay dead in Bailey Court in
Cabel Street the bottom of Rosemary Lane That Madden & he went
into the Court & found the deced lying on his Facehe turn'd him on
his back but he was deadhe told this to Henry Haythorn< no role > who went & brot. a Candle in his
band & Exaied the Body & found him deadThat Haythorn after
this Charg'd Susanh. Cook< no role > , Eliz Madden, Eliz: wall Jno. Monwray< no role > Catherine Buck< no role > or Adams< no role > &
the Witness wth. the death of the Man & took them all to the Watchhouse
for as they all liv'd in the Court they must know something of the
mans deathSays he was not present when the Man was robb'd but
believes that from abt. 10 to abts. 11 at night he was drinking along wth. Due Grief or Little Jemmy & Jas< no role > or Jno. Bourn< no role > &
Margt. Carney< no role > at Mr. Smiths the Sign of the 3 Tuns in Capel Street That
Bourn & Carney went out of the House & left the Witness & Grief togr.
That Bourn soon after return'd & said Carney had been knock'd down in the
Street, he went out to her Asistance & brot. her in to Eliz: Thompsons< no role >
in the Court where he had her aban'd & afterwds. ported wth. her in
Walls Street & upon his return back into the Court it was then he
met wth. Eliz: Madden who inform'd him as above. That when he
went out to Carney he saw Grief in the housethat it was rather after
Elevendid not see him any more that Night but saw him the next
Morning in Custodyis no acquaintance of Grifssays when he
went up to the deced his Shoes Wors of [..] or his Breeches Pockets turn'd inside
out saw no Choot but a Cruise on the left TempleSays so never saw
the Lived before he saw him dead
