Middlesex


At the General Quarter Session of the Peace holden for
the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street in the
County aforesaid by Adjournment on Saturday and the Nineteenth day
of April in the thirty third year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George
the Second King of Great Britain Etc Before Thomas Lane< no role > George Greene< no role >
Merry Teshmaker< no role > and Saunders Welch< no role > Esquires
and others their Fellows Justices of our said Lord the King Assigned to
keep the Peace in the County aforesaid and also to hear and determine
divers Felonies Trespasses and other Misdeeds committed in the same
County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Saint Mary le Bone in the said County of Middlesex Did Exhibit their Petition and Appeal at the last General
Session of the peace holden for the said County Setting forth That by Virtue of a
Pass Warrant or Order under the Hands and Seals of Stephen Clarke< no role > and Saunders
Welch
< no role > Esquires Two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said County
(whereof one is of the Quorum) bearing date the 25th day February 1760 Mary Haynes< no role >
wife of Richard Haynes< no role > Silk Dyer (there at Sea) and William< no role > their Son aged Ones
Year were removed from the Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn above the Barrs in
the County of Middlesex to the said Parish of Saint Mary Le Bone in the said County
as the place of their last Legal Settlement whereby the Petrs. conceived themselves
aggreived, which said Petition was by the Court duly adjourned and appointed to be
heard on this Day Now upon hearing of what was alledged by Mr. Mc Phaedrus
of Council for the [..] Respondent and also of Mr. Serjeant Hayward of Council for
the [..] Appellants It is Ordered that the Appeal aforesaid be allowed and
that the said Pass Warrant and Adjudication of the said Two Justices of the
Peace be and the same is hereby Quashed and vacated [..] And it is
further Ordered that the said poor Woman and her Child above named
be conveyed back and delivered over to the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the said parish of Saint Andrew Holborne above the Barrs or One of them, together
with a Copy of this Order, who are hereby required to receive the said Poor
Persons and provide for them according too Law
